Also known as the Lethal Lyricist a.k.a The Lyrical Assassin,
Derrick was born in Newark NJ and raised in Atlantic City. "My father, uncle and grandfather were artists, so music is naturally within me" says Derrick. "Being in many different states (Louisiana, Tennessee, Florida, Virginia Etc.) explains my versatility and gives me a better understanding of hip-hop nationally".
L.G. (Lyrically Gifted) began with close friend Antujuan Huffin (Cool T) in 1993. Since he passed away in 1996 it's been Derrick's obligation to make it in the industry and fulfill the dream of both he & Huffin. "Writing what's on my mind not only releases my frustration, it helps me maintain my sanity".
